When was your first run with YRC? How did you hear about it?

My first run was technically Race to Trace, but my first run crew was the following week at Grist House in march 2022. I think it was Run Crew 033. I found YRC on instagram with a little help from Dan :)

What does being a "local, lovable misfit runner" mean to you? 

To me it means feeling and showing up however you want as a runner with the support of a strong local community

Tell us about a memorable YRC-related moment.

There are honestly too many: YRC gave me more than I could have imagined and without it I’m not sure where I’d be. My first run crew is one I will never forget, running my first half marathon with a bunch of YRC friends - the same ones who told me I would be able to do something that I never thought I possibly could just months before.

What keeps you coming back to YRC?

I didn’t know I had such a need/desire for a community like this, and once I got it it unlocked a whole other side of being a runner. Nothing makes me feel the way running does and being able to contribute to YRC to give that someone else means everything to me.
